Wie verändert sich nach der Verleihung des Literaturnobelpreises an Elfriede Jelinek im Jahr 2004 der Blick auf ihr literarisches Werk? Wie wird nun die Jelinekrezeption im nichtdeutschsprachigen Raum verlaufen? Die Teilnehmer der im März 2005 in Olsztyn veranstalteten Polnisch-Deutschen Tagung zum Werk Elfriede Jelineks knüpften an diese Fragen an, um eine aktuelle kritische Zwischenbilanz der Forschung zu Jelinek zu ziehen, einen Überblick über Jelineks Schaffen zu gewinnen und neue Forschungsperspektiven zu ihrem Werk zu entwickeln. Der Band dokumentiert diese Beiträge, ergänzt um weitere aus der polnischen und deutschen Literaturwissenschaft. Er versammelt grössere Überblicksdarstellungen, Werkinterpretationen, Motivstudien und Untersuchungen zur Jelinek-Rezeption in Polen.

Die Herausgeber: Claus Zittel, geboren 1965, studierte von 1984 bis 1994 Philosophie, Germanistik, Geschichte, Kunstgeschichte und Psychoanalyse an den Universitäten Koblenz-Landau, Frankfurt am Main und Pisa. 1999 promovierte er mit einer Arbeit über Nietzsches Ästhetik. Seitdem ist er Professor für Neuere Deutsche Literaturgeschichte an der Uniwersytet Warminsko-Mazurski Olsztyn in Polen und wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Philosophie der J.W. Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main. Forschungsschwerpunkte: Ästhetik, Literaturgeschichte.
Marian Holona, geboren 1935, promovierte 1968 über die Essayistik Heinrich Manns und habilitierte sich 1978 mit einer Arbeit über die Kleine Prosa Robert Walsers. Ab 1997 war er Professor für Literatur- und Kulturgeschichte an den Universitäten von Warschau und Gdansk. Im Jahre 2003 übernahm er die Leitung der Germanistik an der Universität Olsztyn. Aktueller Forschungsschwerpunkt: Max Weber.
