Dr. Subhas Sarkar is a former Shakespeare Professor and Head of the Dept. of English, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, and Ex-Visiting Professor of English, Calcutta University, Assam University and Vidyasagar University, Midnapur, West Bengal. He has been contributing on T.S. Eliot for more than three decades and has been greatly admired by Professor K. Srinivasa Iyengar, Professor Laxmana Murthy, Professor K.B. Sitaramayya, H.M. Williams and many other scholars.
