About The Book

AMA (Alternative Ways of Arising) is a travel project born from the willnes of the authors (Tiz and Syb) to "change a bit the world " in their own way.

Tiziano (Tiz) and Elena (Syb) are two guys who have chosen to be friends. In fact, they noticed, in their constant and frenetic journeys made for work and - sometimes - pleasure, that they kept meeting. Certain that it could not be a coincidence, the two authors decided to get to know each other better. Between a chat and another, an aperitivo and another, they began to share their views on the world, to share between each other, to educate themselves, to trust in others, to respect each other despite the differences.

The great mental affinity, the breakdown of many social schemes, both for their extravagant personal identity, and for the lives and the jobs they do, led them to create a project all 'in their own way'.

Objective: to do something which can involve other people in the magical world of personal and social discoveries.

In this way AMA was born, a journey that belongs to a larger complex project: every year Tiz and Syb will carry out a journey that has an emotional and social theme and objective. Both will make the journey simultaneously, touching the same places but traveling completely alone, completely disconnected from social networks and from the internalized world, with only subsistence goods calibrated for the days of travel.

They will not be able to listen to music, they will not be able to read.

They will only have with them a pen and a diary on which they can write down their thoughts.

They will only be able to take three photos and record one video, to capture the particularly impacting moments of their path.

They can only buy a single item to give away once back from the trip or on the way.

AMA is the first child of this great adventure, designed and built in 2019.

Theme: The value of the viewpoints.

The authors wanted to research their viewpoint on the travel experience, sharing it betweeb them, exchanging it to aim for an emotional and sapiential growth. The title of this literature wants also to allude to this reciprocity: AMA is a palindrome acrostic that encompasses the mystery and interchangeability of every experience that life offers to every human being, regardless of his conditions.

From the authors' diaries comes this volume. Its outcome will be used for the visited places (in this case Sardinia), to do something beautiful and enhance the beautiful world we live in!
