Schiller's Wilhelm Tell: A Historical Drama is a play written by Friedrich Schiller and first published in 1804. The play is set in Switzerland during the early 14th century and tells the story of the legendary Swiss hero, William Tell, who defies the tyrannical rule of the Habsburgs and leads a rebellion against them.
