Years earlier, a young content creator named Russo vanished mysteriously after recording a strange video featuring an abandoned hat placed on a manhole. The footage ended abruptly, suggesting he saw something terrifying. He fell ill afterward and disappeared, leaving behind unanswered questions and a neighborhood steeped in fear.
Years later, Rafael, an exhausted and morally conflicted office worker, walks home late at night through the same abandoned street. Overcome by unease, he notices an old black fedora lying beside a manhole. Despite his instincts, a whispered voice compels him to put it on. The moment he does, reality fractures.
From inside the manhole emerges a figure identical to Rafael-his exact double-who reveals the hat's horrifying secret: it is a trap that swaps identities. Only one version of a person can exist above ground at a time. The doppelg�nger claims Rafael's place in the world, forcing the real Rafael into the darkness below.
The next morning, a man who looks like Rafael walks freely through the streets, but something about him is wrong-his eyes are empty, his presence hollow. The hat, left behind by the manhole, waits patiently for its next victim, continuing an endless cycle of disappearance and replacement.

In "The Radio"
The story follows a narrator haunted by his family's past, especially his mother, who was deeply devoted to an old radio gifted by her former lover. As her obsession grows, she slowly loses her sanity. Despite her madness, the narrator's love for her never fades. In desperation to save her, he turns to black magic-unwittingly inviting a sinister force that begins to manipulate his mind and distort his reality.
What follows is a surreal and unsettling journey where faith, grief, and illusion blur into one another. At a temple, the narrator receives a silent yet profoundly soothing blessing from an ascetic woman, only to be forcibly removed, as tradition forbids lingering after a blessing. Overwhelmed by melancholy and an unexplainable attachment to the woman, he leaves to catch a train, noticing a mysterious dog that appears repeatedly in impossible places, defying logic.
Exhausted, he falls asleep on the train and dreams of his mother, who accuses him of coming close to her salvation only to abandon her. Awakening in terror, he finds a grotesque woman seated beside him-whom he believes to be his lost mother. As the train begins to move and escape becomes impossible, panic overtakes him. In fear and confusion, he strikes the woman, then follows her in guilt, only to witness her leap from the moving train.
Pulled back from the brink himself, the narrator returns to his seat to find everyone asleep and the seat beside him empty-as if nothing ever happened.
The story ends in chilling ambiguity, exploring themes of unconditional love, madness, spiritual longing, dark faith, and the terrifying consequences of misinterpreting reality.
