Resumo A manga (Mangifera indica L.) � uma das culturas frut�colas mais importantes das regi�es tropicais e subtropicais do mundo. � um dos frutos mais populares entre milh�es de pessoas nas regi�es tropicais e, cada vez mais, nos pa�ses desenvolvidos. A antracnose, causada pelo fungo Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, � a mais importante doen�a pr� e p�s-colheita da manga. O objetivo desta investiga��o foi estudar a morfologia, a patogenicidade e a diversidade das esp�cies de Colletotrichum associadas �s doen�as da antracnose, principalmente na manga, em aldeias selecionadas do distrito de Pawi, na regi�o de Benishangul_ Gumuz. A investiga��o atual tamb�m inclui a determina��o da incid�ncia, da gravidade e de poss�veis testes de gest�o da doen�a da antracnose causada por Colletotrichum gloeosporioides em culturas de manga no distrito de Pawi. Foi realizado um inqu�rito no terreno no distrito de Pawi durante as �pocas de cultivo de 2011 e 2012 para determinar a distribui��o da antracnose e a associa��o dos par�metros da doen�a (incid�ncia e gravidade) com as pr�ticas de gest�o das culturas. No total, foram pesquisados 19 campos de manga e todos os campos foram atacados pela antracnose.
