About The Author

Prof. Dr. Günter Bärwolff arbeitete ca. 15 Jahre in verschiedenen Forschungsinstituten in theoretisch und experimentell arbeitenden interdisziplinären Gruppen auf dem Gebiet der angewandten Mathematik und Strömungsmechanik, bevor er 1994 seine Forschungs- und Lehrtätigkeit an der TU Berlin begann. Von Prof. Dr. Günter Bärwolff ist im gleichen Verlag außerdem erschienen: Höhere Mathematik für Naturwissenschaftler und Ingenieure (4. Auflage).

Prof. Dr. Caren Tischendorf lehrt und forscht in der Angewandten Mathematik an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin und dem Berliner Forschungszentrum MATH+. Ihre Schwerpunkte liegen in der Modellierung und numerischen Simulation von Prozessen auf Netzwerken in den Bereichen Elektronik, Energie und Zelldynamik.
