Every myth is real.

Every legend is true.

The answers lie ... beyond the riftgate.

But Jane Baker doesn't want answers, she wants ice-cream.

She doesn't want friends or adventures, she wants to be alone.

She doesn't want to be the most hunted person in a parallel world, or caught in a twisting web of secrets and treachery, but then again, when has Jane ever got what she wanted?

Never, that's when.

Now, thrown together with a bizarre assortment of allies, Jane must nurture a strength within herself that she never knew existed. For the fate of a world has come to rest on her shoulders, and saving it will require more than epic quests and deadly conflict, it will require her to confront a lie that has defined her life, and embrace a truth that will shake the foundations of the universe...

Cove, Tim: - Tim Cove has done a bunch of stuff. Highlights have included working as a high school teacher, balloon animal guy, tennis coach, barman, shoe salesman, musician and Christmas elf. Sometimes he's travelled about the world like some kind of free-spirited, beardless Gandalf. Sometimes he's stayed indoors for long periods of time eating many snacks. Through it all, his true love and passion has remained books. After writing dozens of short stories, plays and short films over the years, he finally began mashing his fingers haphazardly into a keyboard in 2016, hoping that a proper book would emerge. Several broken keyboards later, The Riftgate Odyssey was born. When he isn't writing, Tim enjoys hanging out with his little family, washing dishes, cleaning up Lego, borrowing far more books from the library than he can possibly read, and telling bedtime stories until way after bedtime. His body lives in Melbourne, Australia. His mind splits its time between Melbourne and a few other universes where there are fewer dishes to wash and more dragons.
