Poursuivant l'aventure de iPod et minijupe au 18e siècle, Louise Royer révèle ici les dessous d'une opération scientifique secrète, dont sont accidentellement victimes deux jeunes amoureux que deux cents ans séparent.

Royer, Louise: - Née à Montréal, Louis Royer habite à Mississauga, en banlieue de Toronto, depuis près de vingt-cinq ans. Elle enseigne les sciences et les mathématiques à l'école secondaire MPS Etobicoke. Ses études et sa carrière l'ont amenée d'un bout à l'autre du pays. Elle a d'abord étudié la physique à l'Université de Montréal où elle a obtenu un baccalauréat. Puis elle a fait son doctorat à Vancouver, au département d'océanographie de l'Université de la Colombie- Britannique. Enfin, elle a poursuivi des recherches postdoctorales au département d'océanographie de l'Université Dalhousie, à Halifax, et au Centre canadien des eaux intérieures à Burlington, en Ontario. Elle a d'ailleurs publié de nombreux articles dans des revues scientifiques avant de se consacrer à l'écriture de son premier roman, iPod et minijupe au 18e siècle, où elle a imaginé un scénario qui pouvait laisser libre cours à ses intérêts pour la science et l'inimaginable. Dans Culotte et redingote au 21e siècle, la suite attendue des aventures de Sophie et du comte de Besanceau, ses deux passions sont à nouveau réunies. Pianiste, ceinture noire de judo, Louise Royer passe ses temps libres à chanter dans une chorale semi-professionnelle et à pratiquer ses sports favoris: patinage, camping, canotage et randonnée pédestre. Mais, sa véritable passion demeure sans contredit la lecture, et ce, depuis sa tendre enfance. Pas étonnant qu'elle prenne aujourd'hui autant de plaisir à mettre sur papier les fruits de son imagination et... de sa science.
