The "Mirrors and Manners" novel collection is a one-of-a-kind series on etiquette, manners and social values, as it offers readers heartwarming and engaging narratives that blend fun and humor with wealth of information on pro-social skills, necessary to navigate daily lives.

In its first instalment titled, "Food, Friends and Finesse", this nonfiction graphic novel tells a story of a group of Third Culture Kids (TCK) and Dual Language Learners (DLL) who formed friendship in a new community. Shaped by their multicultural backgrounds, the teenagers bond over meals and gracefully nurture their friendship with authenticity, charm and mutual respect in their interactions. Together, they sharpen their table manners skills, uplift, gently guide and correct each other when needed. Whether they are dining together, switching between English and French languages, or mastering different English dialects, these friends embark on a journey of discovery. They confidently embody the essence of multicultural harmony - the epitome of global citizenship.

Dera is a vibrant bilingual teenager who has lived across several Western countries. Every day, she gracefully balances her African heritage with Western influences, navigating the complexities of multicultural life, while radiating politeness, poise, and polished manners.
