Forever and A Day is the last of the "Bully Dogs Series," which includes Bully Dogs, (Fran stands up to the bullies), YNK (You Never Know), (Fran navigates through the junior high and life outside of school, and A Penny in Time (Dusty makes some hard choices and learns how to love and let go). Fran, Dusty, Annie, and Dean grow up throughout the series, and in Forever and A Day, mature into young adults.

Fran has loved Dean from the first kiss when they were in 7th grade until the present when they are college students. At Dusty's wedding, when Dean gives Fran a necklace he had designed for her of flowers studded with precious gems and a dove, (Fran=flowers, Dean=dove), inscribed 'Forever and a Day' with an embedded solitaire on the clasp charm, and his whispered promise of "I will love you forever and a day", her life is perfect. She envisions herself as a bride with her handsome groom beside her, their moment of happiness and completion. But life can change in the twinkling of a diamond.

Fran has met challenges head on throughout her life, and until now, has been successful at navigating the landmines of school years since kindergarten through high school, the bullying, the shifting loyalties of friends and enemies and the family issues. As a young adult with responsibilities as a college student, a grown daughter and a loyal friend to Annie and Dusty, she must make decisions that have deep and life altering consequences. But what she would like to do is run away with her Kindle and find a spot on a deserted beach, read, and forget about Dean, Dusty, Annie, her Grandmother, and the whole lot of family, friends and boyfriend. With the betrayal of her love and her friend, Fran must put back together her life from the shattered illusions she has had and redefine what is love and what is friendship? Can she rewrite this drama of hers and create another scenario? Can she look on the other side of dreams, intentions and aspirations, and see a whole picture? Or, is it even worth the effort?
