The Children of Akletok is about two teenage boys who live in a small village named after their founder, and known sorcerer, Akletok. The village was entrusted to six long forgotten disciples who continued to promote Akletok's legacy and history after his sacrificial death. While it is unknown to almost everyone in the village, the bloodline containing magic still flows within these two teenagers, Kato and Amos, who are descendants of two of the original Elders. Amos and Kato are complete opposites in size, knowledge of their history and attitude. The boys are united in the overwhelming task of saving their village when an evil presence comes to town and steals the lifeforce, known as the Orb of Akletok, left behind by the sorcerer himself as a gift to those who followed his teachings.

McGregor, Raymond: -

Raymond McGregor was born in Sudbury, Ontario. He turned his appreciation for literature into an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature at Laurentian University before attending Nipissing University in North Bay for Teachers' College. He works as a high school English teacher and enjoys fishing, hunting, playing music, painting and reading in his spare time. Raymond has aspired to write for many years and his two children have been the biggest inspiration to pursue this dream. He hopes that they too will follow their lifelong goals. He now lives in Wawa, a small town in Northern Ontario. The Children of Akletok is his fourth published book.
