The Havoc of Halfdan Ragnarsson is a sweeping, blood-etched tale of power, brotherhood, and fate, based on the real life of one of the most enigmatic Viking warlords of the 9th century. Known in some sagas as Hvitserk-depending on the source-Halfdan Ragnarsson carved his name into the bones of kingdoms and the memories of men. This is the story of a warrior shaped by loss and vengeance, the son of Ragnar Lothbrok, who helped unleash the fury of the Great Heathen Army upon Anglo-Saxon England.

From the burning fields of Northumbria to the rain-slick hills of Wessex, Halfdan's campaigns helped bring down kings and raise a new Norse order. He stood shoulder to shoulder with his brother Ubba and led a host of hardened warriors-many of them former slaves like Svena, Torri, and Bjarke-into the heart of the fractured English kingdoms. After the fall of King Bagsecg, Halfdan rose as King of Northumbria, ruling from York and distributing land to loyal settlers, laying the foundation of Danelaw.

Yet kingship brought restlessness, and tales of a green land across the sea proved too tempting. Halfdan returned to the sea, seeking one last conquest in Dublin. What followed were bitter rivalries, brutal clashes, and a final, fateful battle that sealed his legacy.

This is not a saga of fantasy, but one of truth-rich in historical accuracy and driven by the grit of real people who lived and died by the sword.
