The World Crosser A Young Adult Comedic Fantasy Adventure

Sixteen-year-old Jason has trained at the sheltered academy for his entire life to become a Key-a guide-for-hire who leads travelers through dangerous portals connecting worlds across the Universe. His first mission is with the mysterious Doctor Heinswei who is a magnet for danger and intrigue as they are almost immediately pursued by robed bandits, while malevolent creatures called Phantoms begin stalking them through the Twilight-Zone between worlds.

As Jason's team crosses increasingly perilous worlds, it's slowly revealed that they are hunting a powerful artefact that could reshape reality itself. But when Jason learns explosive secrets about his client and his own father, he must choose between blind loyalty and his conscience.

With each portal crossing more dangerous than the last, Jason begins to suspect he might possess legendary abilities whispered about at the Academy. But in a Universe where everything has a price, becoming special could cost him everything-including the people he's sworn to protect.

Sandbach, Will: - Will Sandbach is an IT Salesman (plus writer) based in Hampshire, England. He lives with his wife and cat, Manuel, and enjoys pubs, comedy nights and walks in the countryside.Will was spurred to write The World Crosser during the COVID-19 lockdown as a way to live vicariously through Jason as he travelled through portals linking exotic locations. With the portals acting as way through which Jason could journey from place to place. The story grew from this core concept.He is strongly influenced by Britain's comedic landscape in its various eccentricities, ranging from pantomime to satire. He also loves the sci-fi, fantasy and action adventure genres of literature which have all found their way into The World Crosser.
