Il a souhaité aujourd'hui donner à ces principes la forme d'un livre, afin que son approche du piano soit partagée par un plus grand nombre de musiciens.S'inscrivant contre des pratiques d'enseignement trop répandues fondées sur la contrainte, il vise à faire des musiciens libres, à éduquer leur oreille pour que celle-ci les guide dans l'expression, afin de donner aux interprètes les moyens techniques de traduire leur imaginaire. Déplorant que certaines notions soient exprimées souvent de façon abstraite par les enseignants, il énonce des principes techniques qui permettent de mettre en pratique ces notions: quel geste faut-il faire pour obtenir tel son, et partant, tel effet musical ? Comment, avec une éonomie de moyens physiques et la plus grande souplesse, faire rendre le meilleur à l'instrument ?
