The Working Class Audio Journal series captures the essence of Matt's podcast interviews with industry professionals, in an easy-to-digest written form.

Matt moves beyond the technical and gets to the core of how top engineers practice their craft, delving into the world behind recording. He goes way beyond the typical "what was it like to work with" or "what is the best EQ to use on a kick drum" style questions typical of most interviews.

About The Author

Matt Boudreau is an audio engineer and the creator and host of the Working Class Audio podcast. Matt's early career as a drummer introduced him to the music industry while touring and recording, winning and losing record deals, and learning how records were made on a large scale. In 1994, Matt traded drumsticks for faders when a passion for audio production became his focus. Since then Matt has experienced the ups and downs of studio ownership and freelance recording, which ultimately led to the creation of the Working Class Audio podcast in 2014.
