Discover the extraordinary in every day with Nature's Almanac, by renowned wildlife and biodiversity gardener Susie White. This beautifully compact book invites you to pause and notice one remarkable phenomenon of the natural world each day, drawing inspiration from the Japanese tradition of microseasons--seventy-two poetic intervals that celebrate nature's subtle shifts. With her signature blend of lyrical observation, experience and insight, Susie guides readers through fleeting moments: the first snowdrop buds of spring, the song of larks on the wing, or the golden turning of leaves as the days shorten once more. Each entry is enriched by Susie's deep expertise as a gardener and naturalist, offering practical wisdom and gentle encouragement to engage more closely with the world around us. Let this book be your companion, this year and every year, for mindful living and well-being, helping you rediscover the joy of nature's ever-changing beauty one day at a time.

Susie White is a garden and travel writer, broadcaster, wildlife photographer and lecturer. A lifelong and passionate gardener, she developed the garden at Chesters Walled Garden on Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland. Since then she has created a garden from scratch in a hidden valley on previously uncultivated land. Beyond the garden, Susie's interests include the environment, conservation, wildlife, upland hay meadows, archeology, heritage skills and the landscape and walks of northern England. She is a regular contributor to the Guardian, BBC Countryfile, The English Garden, Homes and Gardens, and is garden columnist for My Weekly magazine. A member of the Garden Media Guild, and RHS speaker, she is the author of Gardens of Northumberland and the Borders, Second Nature and The Gardener and the Moth.
