About The Author

Karl Marx (1818–1883) was a German philosopher, economist and revolutionary socialist. Marx's theories laid the foundation for modern socialism and communism, influencing political movements worldwide. Friedrich Engels (1820–1895) Friedrich Engels was a German philosopher, social scientist and collaborator with Karl Marx. He co-authored The Communist Manifesto and contributed significantly to Marxist theory, particularly through his works like The Condition of the Working Class in England (1845). Engels was also a financial supporter of Marx, enabling the latter to focus on writing. His contributions to socialism and labour theory, alongside Marx, have profoundly impacted political thought and global revolutionary movements.
