The mother of four children, Christie honestly and transparently tells the story of her family's journey through childhood cancer, teenage suicide, and the death of two children. She recounts the day that she reconnected with her two boys, her father, and her mother, who are safe, happy, and waiting for her on the other side of the veil separating life and "death." As she awakened to the spiritual world, and her unique place in it, she discovered new purpose and joy in the adventure of life. This is a story of suffering and loss, but also of love, hope, resilience, support, and the search for meaning.

Thomas, Christie: - "Christie Thomas is a professional grief counsellor and a Registered Psychotherapist (RPQ). For over ten years she has been a volunteer peer co-facilitator at Bereaved Families of Ontario-Toronto. She has worked with those who have lost loved ones, combining her formal training with her personal experiences, to help people to discover that they can feel hope and joy again.

Christie attended Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, where she received two degrees. She also earned two diplomas - one in Addiction and Mental Health, and another in Spiritual Psychotherapy. She lives in Toronto, Canada.
