El literalismo, primo hermano del fundamentalismo, est� en la base de casi todos los mitos que se observan respecto a diversos temas, incluyendo ideas respecto al matrimonio. En este libro en particular nos encontramos con la tarea inmensa de configurar un modelo de matrimonio que se acerque a la humanidad de una manera amigable, y no con la nefasta figura de alguien que tenga que decirle a los humanos qu� deben y qu� no deben hacer, en algo tan �ntimamente especial, como es la relaci�n de pareja.

Una cuesti�n de libertad, ha terminado siendo, en la pr�ctica, un asunto de opresi�n y rejas insalvables. La tesis del texto es que el matrimonio no es un sacramento ni tampoco un contrato civil, es un pacto, que compete exclusivamente a dos personas y a nadie m�s. Este libro es el primero de una trilog�a, los siguientes son Cuando el divorcio es inevitable y Una nueva oportunidad.

Miguel �ngel N��ez PhD, de origen chileno-argentino, es un consejero familiar y terapeuta matrimonial con muchos a�os de experiencia. Viaja por todo el mundo para dar conferencias, fue profesor universitario durante m�s de 35 a�os. Es invitado regularmente a hablar sobre temas como la crianza de los hijos, sexualidad, din�mica familiar, matrimonio, antropolog�a y �tica. Felizmente casado, tiene dos hijos adultos, ambos casados, y es el orgulloso abuelo de cuatro nietos. Ha escrito m�s de 100 libros y vive en Espa�a.
