Mi formacin como psiclogo escolar y terapeuta marital y familiar (MFT) me ha dado la oportunidad de trabajar con muchos nios cuyos temores y experiencias a veces interfieren con su progreso en la escuela. He ayudado a muchos nios afrontar estos traumas de manera constructiva y positiva. Nos parece que este tipo de cuentos, en conjunto con el apoyo de la familia, aliviar los temores que los nios tienen sobre la escuela y otras experiencias. Adems, mi coautora tiene formacin acadmica y experiencia en el bilingismo y en el desarrollo de la lectura. Esto nos anim a desarrollar esta serie con dos niveles de lectura. Es un formato que permite dos niveles de habilidad. Por ejemplo, incluye un nivel ms sencillo para lectores principiantes, y un nivel ms avanzado para "leer en voz alta" por un adulto. Esto tambin permite que los adultos y los nios puedan hablar sobre los temores, y formas de lidiar con ellos.
