Paradigms of Marriage is a book about achieving happy and successful relationships. The purpose of this book is to reveal the secrets of successful marriage relationships in our current society. The divorce rate increased dramatically when marriage patterns changed from patriarchal (traditional) to partnership relationships beginning mid-1960s. The marriage system today requires special skills to be learned or the relationship may be doomed to failure. The fallout during the breakdown process is fraught with pain, frustration, and hurt, including the negative effects on the children and financial pressures. Paradigms of Marriage presents ten of the key concepts to assist couples to avoid the "Pit" and progress happily toward "Paradise".

Samms, Robert O. a.: - A few years ago, Dr. Robert Samms, a clergyman, educator, and marriage officer in Montreal, was surprised by the escalation of the divorce rate in North America. He decided to investigate the reasons for this drastic change. Dr. Samms discovered that the divorce rate doubled between about 1966 to 1978, a twelve-year period. After significant research, the author found the main reason for the breakdown of marriages and how best to assist couples, marriage and unmarried, develop strategies to enjoy successful and enduring relationships. Placing these ten concepts on a paradigm (illustrative pattern), the author skillfully teaches these ten key areas that most affect relationships. The ten chapters also represent the resource for the author's ten successful seminars he and his wife, Petula, have been conducting during the past several years. The author reveals the secrets of ensuring and restoring marital happiness.
