She was married to Dr. Milton Sterling for forty-three years, he predeceased her. She is presently married to Dr. Dolphy Cross, a pastor, psychotherapist, and conflict resolution specialist. She has seen, heard, and felt the pain and woes of many members sitting in the pews of different congregations. She has also seen how pastors responded to the many silent calls for help. These and much more motivated and inspired her to write this book. Her encouragement to you is to have faith in God and hope in the future you cannot see. She believes that the Creator God is in the business of making something out of nothing.
