María Asti-Schulz is the author of "Between Reason and Desire", published in both English and Spanish through Amazon. She writes under her middle name, María, as a tribute to the countless women who share it-those who will find in her story a mirror of their own emotions, strength, and transformation.
An Industrial Engineer specialized in Innovation and Market Disruption at Harvard University, María holds three MBAs focused on Management, Global Strategy, and Sales and Marketing Administration. She graduated in the United States with the highest honors and served as Vice President of the Golden Key International Honour Society, which recognizes the world's top academic achievers.
She is currently the director, producer, and creator of one of the most renowned tango companies internationally, declared Uruguay's National Cultural Emblem and Brand Ambassador, and officially recognized by the cultural ministries of Uruguay and Argentina. Alongside her artistic career, María also serves as a manager at one of the world's largest airlines, bridging the worlds of art, innovation, and corporate leadership.
Her productions have earned major international recognition, including the CINE Golden Eagle and Telly Awards (2012) for the documentary "The Quest for Wonder", dedicated to Latin America. In 2023, a documentary series on Turkey that she co-produced with Telemundo received the prestigious Emmy Award.
