Amor: A Dialogue on Love and Wisdom is the first dialogue in a cycle of Christian Neoplatonic works centered on Lady Wisdom and the contemplative community gathered around her. Amor follows Lady Wisdom and one of her students on the road from Antinopolis as she guides him through a meditation on love, beauty, God, and the human soul. Drawing influence from Plato, Boethius, Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite, and the wider tradition of Christian Neoplatonism, Amor depicts love and beauty as all-pervading principles that order and unify the cosmos. The dialogue explores the nature of love, beauty, devotion, and the spiritual journey undertaken when one falls in love with Lady Wisdom.
