Ce cours, qui n'a d'autre ambition que d'introduire a la lecture de Husserl, prend pour fil conducteur la correlation a priori et universelle entre l'etant transcendant et ses modes subjectifs de donnee. L'evidence naive selon laquelle le monde est tel qu'il nous apparait a en effet une portee surprenante: tout etant est essentiellement relatif a des apparitions subjectives et la conscience enveloppe, par la meme, un rapport necessaire a l'etant transcendant. De l'aveu meme de Husserl, l'effort de la phenomenologie consiste a elaborer cet a priori, c'est-a-dire a penser l'etre de la conscience et de la realite en tant que, radicalement distincts, ils sont neanmoins relatifs l'un a l'autre. Or, l'elaboration de cet a priori s'expose au risque permanent d'une reification de la conscience, qui procede elle-meme d'une caracterisation encore naive du sens d'etre de la realite: tant que la conscience est pensee sur le modele de la chose, son pouvoir de faire apparaitre l'etant demeure incomprehensible. On presentera donc l'elaboration progressive de la pensee de Husserl - des Recherches logiques a la phenomenologie transcendantale des Lecons sur le temps et des Idees directrices - comme une tentative continuee de se liberer de toute forme de realisme. Parce qu'elle est de part en part motivee par le souci d'echapper a la naivete - ce qui exige d'abord de la reconnaitre sous ses formes les plus sophistiquees -, la phenomenologie, telle que Husserl la fonde, apparait comme l'accomplissement meme de l'exigence philosophique.
