About The Book

Die Organismische Konstruktionslehre kann das biologische Faktenwissen in einer einheitlichen Theorie integrieren. Sie basiert auf einer generell prozessualen Sicht des Naturgeschehens und stellt den Energiewandel der Lebewesen und seine organismisch-konstruktiven Voraussetzungen in den Vordergrund. Organismen sind einerseits durch Spontaneität, Autonomie und andererseits durch Energiewandel und maschinenhafte Eigenschaften gekennzeichnet. Die aus dieser Sicht des Organismus resultierende Evolutionstheorie ist nicht adaptationistisch. Zwischen den Organsystemen der Tiere und des Menschen herrschen enge funktionelle Beziehungen, die in alle Ebenen durchschlagen. Dies betrifft auch den Bewegungsapparat und das Nervensystem. Daraus ergibt sich zwingend die organismische Bedingtheit der sensorischen Erschlie ung und inneren Repräsentanz der Au enwelt. Die Au enwelt und ihre innere Repräsentanz stehen daher in keinem Abbildungsverhältnis. Die menschliche Kultur hat eine organismisch-biologische Basis, die aber nur Rahmenbedingungen schafft und auf die konkreten Inhalte nicht durchschlägt.

Die Autoren: Wolfgang Friedrich Gutmann, 1935-1997. 1955-1961 Studium der Biologie, Paläontologie und Chemie in Frankfurt/Main. 1960-1964 am Forschungsinstitut für Meeresgeologie und -biologie in Wilhelmshaven. 1965 Übernahme der Sektion für vergleichende und funktionelle Anatomie der Wirbeltiere am Forschungsinstitut. Bearbeitung von Fragen der Konstruktion niederer Tiere und von Evolutionsproblemen. Habilitation und Lehrtätigkeit an der Universität Frankfurt am Main.
Karl Edlinger, geboren 1951, 1970-1977 Studium der Zoologie, Botanik und Erdwissenschaften in Wien. Ab 1976 Gymnasiallehrer, seit 1994 Leitung der Sammlung Mollusca am Naturhistorischen Museum Wien. Beschäftigung mit systematischen und evolutionstheoretischen Problemen sowie Organismuslehre. Lehrtätigkeit an der Universität Wien. Zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen.
