He has over 44 years of teaching and industrial experience. Professor Sawhney has authored more than twenty books including Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Thermal and Hydraulic Mechanics and Non- Conventional Energy Resources published by PHI Learning, Delhi.
