The Natural History of Religion is a philosophical treatise written by the Scottish philosopher David Hume. In this book, Hume explores the origins and evolution of religion, arguing that it is a natural, human phenomenon that arises from our innate tendency to seek explanations for the world around us. Hume begins by examining the various forms of polytheism and monotheism found in different cultures and societies.
