About The Book

BE LIKE A FOX will take the reader on an adventure into the secret life of foxes! There are lessons we can glean from their survival habits and behaviors as they interact with each other and their environment. These habits and interactions can provide a bit of inspiration in our own lives to encourage us, strengthen us, and set us on our personal yellow brick road. This book describes some of these important lessons that we need to remember as we embark on our own life's adventure. All ages, from young children to adults, will appreciate the photographs of these entertaining foxes, but the messages throughout the book are written for older children, teens, and adults to enjoy the reminders the pages present to live life more abundantly.

BE LIKE A FOX is illustrated with photographs of foxes in the wild and are photographed by the author. In instances where a 'prop' is included in the photograph, the fox actually interacts with the prop. No photoshop trick of 'adding' an object to a photo of a fox in order to combine them was done. Sometimes a backdrop is used and a fox is photographed as he positions himself against the backdrop. It takes many attempts over many days to capture the desired images and sometimes unexpected but delightful images are captured!

About The Author

Trabue, Jan: - Author and photographer Jan Trabue is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, specializing in anxiety disorders who enjoys working with all ages, children in particular. Her hobbies include writing and photographing wildlife. She has combined these two hobbies to create this book, Be Like a Fox, for its readers to learn about this species and to celebrate the beauty and wonder of wildlife. As a volunteer for Wild 4 Life, Jan has the special opportunity to help care for the foxes and to be a witness to their survival habits and funny antics when they are released back into the wild. As she quietly spent time observing them in their natural habitat, she began to examine how some of her observations could be applied to her own life. As a result, Be Like a Fox was created!
