Annell St. Charles is a native of Nashville, Tennessee but she spends part of her time on Hilton Head Island. Every summer, her travels take her to other islands, such as those depicted in this book. She had a long career in the medical fields before following her passion into creative writing and photography. She has published two novels: The Things Left Unsaid and The Choices We Make, a book of poetry: The Clam Shell: Poetry of a Relationship, and a previous book of photography: Sunrise on Hilton Head Island
