I did not know how to drive a car. Then I migrated to the USA with a job. I was on a visa. I did not know good English back then. Instead of saying 'What did you say?', I would say 'What say you?'. Are you laughing at these types of English?

I am, however, fluent like a native in terms of English writing and speaking now.

I rode a $100 bicycle in Texas, California, and Washington State to go to my jobs. Then came the winter in Spokane. It was harsh. I cannot ride a bicycle again. So, my manager and I went to a car dealer. I bought a new car. Least I knew that I would fall in love with driving. I will drive close to 800000 miles before I reach a certain age! Most Americans start driving much earlier. Over a lifetime, assuming a driving period from age 18 to 70 (52 years), they drive roughly 741,676 miles. I have a large number of years left to reach 70! Am I crazy for already putting that many miles - in a hurry?

Instantly, my car helped me learn to ski. I became good at it. By the way, I never saw snow before coming to Washington State. Therefore, I am sure you all will say that I have done well on that!

This book is about some of my trips. Since my visa did not allow travel in other countries except the NAFTA countries, I did my automotive travels in the US and Canada. It also had a special meaning because I had to deal with three losses in my family.

Night driving is not fun, but sometimes there is no other choice. It got very risky when I forgot to check the weather properly while driving in Alaska. I had to drive in a snowstorm, which quickly turned into a heavy blizzard because the road was next to the ocean. That was a scary drive.

I have a habit of writing my weekly photo-diaries. Most of the word documents crash because of my pictures that are embedded with the text! It is hard to convert such docx files to pdf. The books are coming out of those diaries.

During the pandemic, I drove to the South Western states of the USA. Before that I drove to other regions. I was very scared of the pandemic as you can imagine. I should not have stayed so intimidated by the virus. However, driving in my own country makes me a patriot, which was the plus on across-USA trips. Isn't it right?

I should also be driving to remote lands overseas. If companies sponsor me I can do exactly that. By the way, I am no longer on a visa; I became eligible to freely visit any country now.

I am hoping these books will serve as a little American history and descriptions of my visits to many countries in the six habitable continents of the world.

For this book, I used cell phone cameras only.
