About The Book

The book represents a collection of my favorite snapshots. I have taken them from my yard in Maine, to as far west as Hawaii, and as far south as Mexico. The places where I have traveled over the years. Some of the shots, I am contented to just look at and reminisce, and some of the places, I would love to see again. The collection of snapshots is a lifetime of work with photography, that I wanted to share. I found photo opportunities everywhere from my own yard, the community where I live and across the United States. My collection has grown quite large with so many beautiful scenes to capture. However, I chose just a few snapshots and hope that you will see the beauty through my eyes.

About The Author

C.J. Pike of West Newfield has been writing a weekly column in a local newspaper for the last 15 years. Loves doing local stories and enjoys getting involved with the hometown activites. She spends most of her time writing and taking photographs. She has a collection of photos that spans decades, and various themes, from coast to coast. Spent a lot of time traveling and had the opportunity to take many different photos across the United States. Has recently put together some of her favorites into this book "Snapshots Across America.....Newfield and Beyond". This is the first collection of photos that she has published, but hopes to publish Version 2 in the near future. Her first children's book "Amelia's Garden" was published just as couple of years ago. Currently working on two other children's books and a book of short stories. Also writes short stories for Discover Maine magazine, a history magazine, which is published in Portland. Loves the research involved in writing stories and interviewing people about what is going on in their lives. "Everyone has a story to tell: I like to hear that story and write it for them."
