Collection of poems in four sections, representing moving through time. Each poem is based upon a personal experience which incorporates elements of literature, music, philosophy and history.

Diggs, Everett: - Everett Diggs was born in 1956 and has been writing poetry since the 1970's. He attended Virginia Tech and Florida State University with BS and MBA degrees, respectively. He chose a career as a management consultant and business entrepreneur. He led transformation projects for some of the leading organizations of the world, mostly in Global Banking and Information Technology. He continued to be an avid reader and writer during this time. He married the love of his life, Colette, and together they raised two children, in Richmond, Virginia. He and Colette live in Johns Island, South Carolina and Barnstable Village, Massachusetts. Everett's philosophy of writing poetry is simply to write poems which transcend day-to-day circumstances and emotions. He incorporates elements of literature, music, philosophy and history. He is influenced by Faulkner's 'stream of consciousness' writing and many poets, including Hart Crane, Robert Lowell, Charles Bukowski and Robert Hazel. Many of these poems explore time and space and the quest for understanding the dimensions of reality. For example, in his poem, "Soliloquy: " "beyond the capsule of place we are time travelers removed from the hilarity of gravity" This poem considers lovers who are constrained by the past but seek a higher order of enlightenment and oneness, though constrained by the 'capsule' of place and time, Everett's poems reflect a life experienced as a husband and father, as well as a lifelong learner, and as reader and student of American poetry and literature.
