The cycles of birth, death, and rebirth emerge in vivid colors in Brad Buchanan's The Birds of Poverty Ridge. These poems trace the author's recovery from medical trauma, mourn the passing of his mother, celebrate his daughters as they grow up, mark the end of a long marriage, and reimagine both his physical surroundings and his relationship to poetry. If you're looking for lyrical glimpses of natural wonders, dreamlike visions of inner truths, metaphysical speculations, stunning metaphors, or moving meditations on family life, look no further.
