an old god speaking light out of darkness,

is a word.

About The Author

GREGORY BYRD is a native Floridian who grew up just south of Key Largo on Plantation Key. He has lived in Pinellas County since 1983 when he began studies in literature and creative writing at Eckerd College under the instruction of Florida Poet Laureate Peter Meinke and novelist Sterling Watson. Greg earned a Master's degree in Creative Writing at Florida State University and a Ph.D. in American Literature at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He has taught writing, literature, and humanities at St. Petersburg College, Clearwater since 1990.
