The Management of Politics and the Role of Leadership in Tigray examines the political developments of the last decade in Ethiopia, spanning the final years of the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) and Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) era, as well as the years under the Prosperity Party government. This period marked a major political transformation in Ethiopia, bringing conflict, displacement, economic hardship, and profound suffering to the people of Tigray.

The book explores how a revolutionary movement that came to power through armed struggle gradually evolved into an increasingly authoritarian system, and the efforts to reform it into a more democratic political order. Drawing from firsthand experience, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Tsadkan Gebretensae offers an insider's perspective on leadership, governance, and political change, while reflecting on possible paths toward stability and recovery for Tigray - a region in northern Ethiopia known for its ancient civilization, rich history, and enduring cultural legacy.
