In der vorliegenden Studie werden die unterschiedlichen Kontexte der politischen Systeme sowie die Handlungsorientierungen der politischen Akteure in Deutschland und den USA herausgearbeitet und verglichen. Dabei steht immer die Frage im Vordergrund, inwieweit man tatsächlich von einer Vorbildfunktion Barack Obamas sprechen kann.

Reinke, Michael: - Michael Reinke studierte von 2004 bis 2009 Politik- und Medienwissenschaften an der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. Derzeit arbeitet er am Göttinger Institut für Demokratieforschung als wissenschaftlicher Assistent.
