About The Author

DWIJESH KUMAR DUTTA MAJUMDER obtained his BSc (Hons) in physics from Guwahati University before studying at the Rajabazar Science College, University of Calcutta, where he was awarded the MSc (Tech.) in 1955 and a Ph.D. in 1962-1963 in Radiophysics and Electronics. Dwijesh Kumar Dutta Majumder INSA (1932–2020) was an Emeritus Professor in the Computer and Communication Sciences Division of the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata, as well as the Honorary Director-Secretary of the Institute of Cybernetics Systems and Information Technology. He was also an Emeritus Scientist of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, operated by the Government of India.|DIPANKAR RAY has done his M.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur. He has been working in the area of medical image processing for the last fifteen years and has done extensive work on image processing, graphics, and numerical and statistical programming. He has authored thirty research publications in reputed journals and conferences.
