Die Dissertation setzt sich mit dem Verhältnis des arbeitenden Menschen zur gesellschaftlichen Zeitpolitik auseinander, die sich in den letzten 10 Jahren innerhalb der Bundesrepublik Deutschland drastisch gewandelt hat. Individuelle Zeitsouveränität ist dabei in ein neues Spannungsverhältnis zwischen betrieblichen Interessen und staatlicher Zeitpolitik geraten und erst langsam in das öffentliche Zeitbewu tsein eindringt. Jene neue Zeitpolitik sucht ein historisches Verhältnis der Gesellschaft zu ihren Gliederungen, der Exekutive, Legislative und Judikative genauso, wie auch der Nichtregierungsorganisationen, aufzubauen und zu erhalten. Das angestrebte neue Tempo zeitigt Brüche für die Mitglieder dieser angestrebten Gesellschaft der "Produktion In-der-Zeit" und ruft neue Zeitkonflikte hervor, welche auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen und zunehmend individuell ausgefochten werden. In diesem Spannungsfeld sind Staaten, Unternehmen wie Gewerkschaften gefordert, eine qualitativen Zeitpolitik zu finden und zu erhalten, welche sich den Fragen der Nachhaltigkeit von Arbeit und Zeit auch unter dem Aspekt des beschleunigten Klimawandels stellt.

Dr Raimond Hoeft ist seit 20 Jahren als Zeitforscher aktiv mit dem Hintergrundwissen eines ausgebildeten Dipl. Volkswirtes Dipl. Sozialökonom und Doktor der Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften der Universität Hamburg.
