Deux mod�les temporels, celui de l'interruption et celui du venir-apr�s, pr�sident ce montage in�dit entre deux s�quences: le mouvement de la r�forme universitaire, parti de la ville argentine de C�rdoba en juin 1918; les mouvements de jeunesse ouvriers et �tudiants dans les rues de Paris en mai 1968. Par une prise de parole impr�vue dans les r�gles institutionnelles et par le d�bordement de cette parole, la r�volte �tudiante antiautoritaire a propuls� l'universit� hors d'elle-m�me, en instaurant � sa place l'id�e du d�mos universitaire. Cette invention latino-am�ricaine implique de nouvelles subjectivations et de nouvelles formes de transmission des modes de concevoir la d�mocratie et l'histoire, des rapports non dialectiques entre savoir et pouvoir. La mise en avant du mod�le temporel et du mode d'ouverture, mais aussi des contradictions et des promesses d��ues de ce moment d'�mancipation, permet d'interroger une autre dur�e, relative aux paradoxes intimes de Mai 68; c'est-�-dire d' interrompre son interruption d�s lors que ce dehors int�rieur � l'universit� est menac� par la transformation en marchandise de l'universit� contemporaine, r�duite � un pur service professionnel de la soci�t�.
