Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) are self-help associations that play important roles in rural development in Nigeria. Organizations such as the Mwaghavul Development Association mobilize communal efforts to support development, particularly where government initiatives in areas such as education, commerce, and agriculture have not adequately addressed local needs. The findings indicate that the organization has performed well, particularly in supporting educational initiatives. However, it is recommended that the organization prioritize revenue-generating activities to sustain its development efforts. The results highlight the importance of strengthening self-help initiatives in community development.
