She is an alumnus of JNU, wherein she pursued MA in Politics (International Studies) & PhD from the Centre for East Asian Studies. Her subject for PhD relates to “Contributions of Japanese Foreign Aid & Development Assistance to India”. Dr Nishtha has been a recipient of ‘ASEAN Fellowship’ from the Japan Foundation. Her research interests lie is Geopolitics & apart from writing several articles on contemporary National security issues and concerns, she has guided several Doctoral and M. Phil students at the Central University.
