The Changing Colours of the Chinar by Farooq Wani delves into the evolving landscape of Kashmir, offering a comprehensive exploration of its socio-political challenges, cultural shifts and global significance. Divided into three sections, the book examines Kashmir's turbulent history, the implications of militancy and the region's evolving political discourse. Through insightful reflections, Wani critiques the rise of radicalisation, the impact of political decisions like the abrogation of Article 370 and its emotional toll on the Kashmiri populace. The author also addresses Kashmir's role in international geopolitics and its portrayal in media and popular culture. Rich with personal anecdotes and analyses, the book presents a poignant narrative of a region caught between conflict and hope for a peaceful future.

Farooq Wani is a seasoned journalist and editor with nearly 30 years of experience in multimedia.
