The book is a brilliant collection of articles written with reference to particular happenings in the Indian political scenario. Most of the articles deal with the non-judicial controversial topics of the day. They attempt to expose the anomalies prevalent in our political system and highlight various unenthical and unconstitutional practices of different branches of the government to justify their wrong decisions. The book also studies the background leading to the controversies arising out of certain innovative directives of the judiciary against the executive. The subject of terrorism and human rights which is increasingly becoming important and crucial in the wake of increasing terrorist activities in India has been discussed at length. Factors responsible for the emergence and eruption of terrorism have been studied. This topic, which is assuming international importance, has been boldly dealt with. Highly controversial topic like religious conversion—whether a fundamental right or not—has also been touched upon. In addition, topics which have been highly debatable and still hold great importance such as issue of Kashmir and article 370, erosion in moral values in public life, judicial activism, ethical bankruptcy, revamping in judicial system and constitutional review in the wake of changing socio-political and economic scenario have been analysed. This book will be highly useful to the students and teachers of Political Science and researchers in this field. It will also help policymakers and members of the executive, legislature and the judiciary at all levels in understanding the inherent problems of Indian political system and finding viable solutions. Those who have an urge to know about the political happenings in the country and their implications, will also find it interesting and informative.
