Diese Arbeit hat ihren AnstoB durch ein Forschungsprojekt erhalten, das von 1976-1981 an der Abteilung fUr Psycho- analyse unter der Leitung von Herrn Professor Loch an der Universitat TUbingen durchgefUhrt und von der Breuninger- Stiftung finanziert wurde. Es hatte die linguistische Un- tersuchung von Texten aus einer Balint-Gruppe zurn Inhalt. Ich selbst hatte bis dahin mit Linguistik wenig BerUhrung gehabt, und so UberlieB ich mich zunachst ganz den Emp- fehlungen des Projektleiters Dr. phil. Gerd Lenga, der mich mit fast unerschopflicher Geduld mit einer Richtung der formalen Linguistik vertraut machte. Eine Psychologin von kritisch-rationalistischer Herkunft, ein system-orien- tierter Sprachwissenschaftler und eine psychoanalytische Abteilung, das konnte wirklich interdisziplinar genannt werden. Und dementsprechend waren unsere ersten Erfahrun- gen miteinander einer babylonischen Sprachverwirrung ver- gleichbar. Ich danke vor allem Herrn Professor Loch, der immer die vaterliche Distanz, GUte und Strenge besaB, urn uns aus wissenschaftlichen Verwicklungen heraus den Weg zu wei- sen. Gerd Lenga hat mir zurn ersten meiner linguistischen Standbeine verholfen, Professor Konrad Ehlich zurn zwei- ten, indem er meinen Blick urn pragmatische Gesichtspunk- te erweiterte. Beiden danke ich fUr die viele Zeit, die sie mir in fruchtbaren Diskussionen immer wieder haben zukommen lassen. Dr. Arno Ruoff sei ebenfalls gedankt fUr hilfreiche Anregungen konkret-methodischer Art.
