Der hierin unum- ganglich angelegte tendenzielle "Separatismus" bringt als F olgepro blem mit sich, daB es keine theoretischen oder empirischen Untersuchungen gibt, die unvermittelt auf Handlungsflexibilitat im hier dargelegten Verstandnis beziehbar sind. Hand- lungsflexibilitat ist in dieser Definition noch nich explizit Gegenstand wissenschaft- licher Untersuchungen gewesen. Aufgrund der Tatsache aber, daB hier Flexibilitat als ein mehrdimensionales, auf mehrere Handlungskomponenten bezogenes Merkmal verst: inden wird und diesem eine explizite Bestimmung von Charakteristika flexibilitatserfordernder Situationen zugrundegelegt ist, erOffnen sich dennoch Perspektiven der Ausschopfung und Nut- zung bereits vorliegender wissenschaftlicher Erkenntnisse und damit der weiterge- hen den Bestimmung der oben umrissenen Prozesse. Wesentlich hierflir ist die Moglichkeit, durch eine begriffliche Uminterpretation flexibilitatserfordernder Situati.anen einen zentralen Bereich denkpsychologischer Forschung, ProblemlOsetheorien und -untersuchungen, flir die Bestimmung regula- tiver Prozesse bei flexiblem Handeln nutzbar zu machen. Dies schafft zugleich eine Basis ftiT die auf einzelne Komponenten flexiblen Handelns bezogene Ausschopfung theoretischer und empirischer Studien.
