EIFF geht diese Aufgabe im medizinischen Bereich an, indem er den Energiestoffwechsel als Test benutzt. Er priift dabei, wie Sinnes- wahrnehmungen, wie Wille zur geistigen Leistung, wie emotionale Affekte, wie also auch Schmerz nur dann, wenn er mit Affekt geladen ist, wie schlieBlich die bewuBte und unbewuBte Zeitrhythmik den Muskeltonus und das Stoffwechselverhalten beeinflussen. v. EIFF bleibt bei seinen Untersuchungen mit beiden FiiBen auf dem Boden des Korperlichen, wahrender den Bereich des Seelischen dauernd im Auge hat und behalt.
