In den letzten Jahren waren gelegentlich Stimmen zu horen, wonach diese Bedeutung abnehme; es wurde sogar gesagt, die Gruppenpsychotherapie sei "ausgebrannt"! Ein so1cher Eindruck kam im riickblickenden Vergleich mit dem ungemein lebhaften Interesse, daB die Gruppe als therapeutisches Me- dium Ende der 60er Jahre undAnfang der 70er Jahre gefunden hatte, zustande; damals gewann im Zusammenhang mit Bemiihungen urn die Forderung von de- mokratischem BewuBtsein in der Gesellschaft die Zusammenarbeit, das Zu- sammenwirken in Kleingruppen, so auch den therapeutischen, unter den ver- schiedensten Zielsetzungen, groBe Aufmerksamkeit. Diese bestimmte Form von Begeisterung, die Gruppentherapie und Gruppendynamik in jenen J ahren hervorbrachten, hat inzwischen nachgelassen; doch konnte dem aufmerksa- men Beobachter der weiteren Entwicklung nicht entgehen, daB die Psychothe- rapie in Gruppen inzwischen fester Bestandteil des Versorgungsrepertoires ge- worden ist. Freilich ist auch hier, wie es durchaus wiinschenswert erscheint, ein Wandel zu verzeichnen; er bezieht sich auf die Zielgruppen, auf die Indikationen und auf die Methoden.
