Scott Peck, and Erich Fromm, the developer of psychiatrist Wilhelm Reich's psychoanalytic theory. The book examines how all violence stems from the masses' deep, compulsive orgastic longing. This longing is the direct result of varying degrees of brain damage caused by parental mental and/or physical abuse of the child in early childhood, even in the fetal stage.
